Opened in 2005, the MAC VAL - Val-de-Marne Contemporary Art Museum is the only museum to be exclusively dedicated to the French art scene since the 50s.
It was founded following the Val-de-Marne departmental council's belief that supporting artistic endeavours, orientating them towards the public, contributes convivial well-being.
The collection features over 2000 artworks. In tune with the collection displays, two to three temporary exhibitions are showcased annually. The collection features both solo and group exhibitions, each one enticing audiences in, a true masterpiece of the artists' and museum's efforts.
Each year, foreign artists are also welcomed to the establishment for cultural seasons. The MAC VAL team use their imagination to come up with innovative ideas for the public, to make the discovery of modern art accessible to all.
