The Centre Pompidou is a must-see during your stay in Paris. It has been a beating heart of the capital for over 40 years. This revolutionary behemoth with primary colours and industrial accents, the work of Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, is a true masterpiece of the 20th century. Nicknamed "Our Lady of Piping" at its inauguration, the building still fascinates with its futuristic and unique architecture.
In addition to the temporary exhibitions that make the place so popular (Matisse, Dali, Koons, Cartier-Bresson, Hockney...), the Museum has the largest collection of modern art in Europe, the 2nd largest in the world with over 100,000 works. Only the MoMa can compete! Historical and chronological, the tour takes you back to the beginning of the 20th century where masterpieces by Matisse, Picasso, Kandinsky, Chagall, Frida Kahlo, etc. are on display... Then it's time for contemporary art from 1960 to the present day, celebrating the creations of Niki de Saint-Phalle, Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois and so many others... If you have always dreamed of reaching the 7th heaven, the top floor of the Centre Pompidou offers you a breathtaking view of the roofs of Paris! The belvedere offers an exceptional panorama of the capital, from Notre-Dame to the Sacré Coeur and the Eiffel Tower. A view that can be enjoyed gradually from the famous transparent caterpillar or from the comfortable deck chairs on the terraces!
