The Jewish art and history museum is established in one of the most beautiful, unique hotels of Le Marais, Hôtel de Saint-Aignan, built in the 17th century.
It retraces the evolution of the Jewish world through its artistic and cultural heritage and focuses on the history of Jews in France, while also exploring the communities of Europe and North Africa that contributed to changing the face of French Judaism to form what we know today.
The collections look into unique works of art (Ecole de Paris, contemporary art), textiles, furniture, cultural objects, manuscripts and historical documents. The museum offers a comprehensive cultural programme with its auditorium, media library, book shop, tour collection and educational activities for all ages.
