Set in five hectares of parkland, the Villeneuve mill will take you into the private lives of Elsa Triolet and Aragon.
It was sometimes the setting and the source of inspiration for their writings. Vestiges of the milling activity, the couple's favourite objects and the works of artist friends remain, creating a warm and unique atmosphere. It is here that some of the most beautiful pages of French literature were written.
This place has a triple vocation: place of memory (flats and tomb of the two writers), place of research and place of support for contemporary artistic creation.
In addition to the works present in the part of the house inhabited by Elsa Triolet and Aragon, such as those of Picasso, Fernand Léger, Boris Taslitzky and many others, you will discover the works of many contemporary artists: Bertrand-Moulin, Noël Pasquier, Jean-Pierre Rives, Yvon Taillandier, Salah Stétié, Kishida, Denis Monfleur, Ladislas Kijno, Erró, Bernard Rancillac, Marc Giai-Miniet, Franck Delorieux, Pat Andrea and Claude Gaspari.
