Opened to the public for the first time in 1934, the museum benefited from legacies and donations of unparalleled breadth from the descendents of artists and private collectors. This heritage has made it a well-known world center of Impressionism.

Admire this impressive collection of 94 paintings, 29 drawings and 8 books of Monet's drawings, including masterpieces such as Impression, Rising Sun and pieces from his famous water lily series.
