The implementation of this decision – taken at the end of the National Tourism Conference organised by Laurent Fabius, French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development – is further proof of the high level of national interest in the tourism sector. It should be noted that this initiative was made possible through the support, particularly the financial support, of the Paris Region as part of its policy of improving urban transport.

Description

With the increasing competition between the world's tourism destinations, Paris Region can differentiate itself from the others by the overall quality of its services and stand out from other competing cities.

For François Navarro, Managing Director of the Paris Region Tourist Board: "The quality of the journey from airport to accommodation is very important to our visitors. It must be quick and easy. This initiative will allow us to improve the quality of our destination and its attractiveness. Even though Paris Region is already seen as a high-quality destination, particularly by international visitors (satisfaction rate of 96%), improving their arrival experience from the airport is a priority! "

With this in mind, the issue of transport and easy access to the centre of a destination city is crucial. This initiative was made possible through the support, particularly the financial support, of the Paris Region as part of its policy of improving urban transport.

Paris Region is positioning itself as a high-quality destination with professionals who are committed to constantly improving the quality of hospitality and services, which are major challenges in terms of securing repeat business and raising awareness. They are also a key strategic development area to maintain the region's attractiveness and its position as the world's leading tourist destination (46.5 million visitors from France and overseas representing over €21 billion of spending).
