Le Golf National is the flagship facility of the French Federation of Golf (ffgolf) and hot spot of French golf. It has hosted 27 editions of the French Open since 1991 and the 2018 Ryder Cup. It is preparing to host the World Amateur Team Championships in 2022 as well as the events of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. A royal destiny for these 139 hectares of former wheat land which, in the time of Louis XIV, fed the crowds of courtiers living in the Château de Versailles.

As a member of the prestigious European Tour golf network, Le Golf National is the stage for the French Open and the Ryder Cup 2018, the number 1 golfing event in the world.

Next to Paris and Versailles, le Golf National The Golf National offers a wide variety of facilities that can accommodate from 10 to 200 people, from beginners to experienced players, in the same place on the same day.

The Aigle, a 71 hole course, allows ranked players to enjoy the quality of Le Golf National in a course design similar to its British counterparts.
And Albatros, an exceptional course, highlight of Le Golf National, is recognised as one of the best Europeans courses. It's the centre stage for several French championships and major international events. Planned out by Hubert Chesneau with the assistance of Robert Von Hagge, this course was designed as a real stage, with the capacity to accommodate up to 70, 000 spectators in the best possible conditions. The course stands out for its impressive water obstacles, vast bunkers and narrow and hilly fairways.

A privileged site for high-level training, Le Golf National is home to the ffgolf High-Level Centre and the ffgolf Academy and offers a wide range of modern facilities including two practice areas, a fitting centre and multiple small-game areas including the 2018 Ryder Cup Chipping Area, a legacy of the 2018 Ryder Cup. The Novotel Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a 4-star managed hotel owned by the Accor group, is located on the Golf National site. It has 131 rooms, most of which overlook the spectacular final 4 holes of the Albatross, as well as the Club House le 2018 and the restaurant Le Gourmet Bar.

Le Golf National also has the **** Novotel Saint-Quentin Golf National on site. It features 131 comfortable rooms and houses the club house, the Pitch and the restaurant (Gourmet Bar).

Under the umbrella of the French Federation of Golf, which has inscribed sustainable development at the heart of its priorities, Le Golf National decided to partake in sustainable action, to increase the respect for the environment, over the course of the last 10 years.

Here is a list of its flagships initiatives:

In 2006, the golf club signed the Water Charter in association with the French Federation of Gold, aimed at reducing water consumption by 30%.

In 2007, it formed a privileged and prestigious partnership with the National Natural History Museum in Paris, to catalogue the biodiversity that has developed on its premises.

In 2014, Le Golf National decided to take things even further and began a global environmental certification project with NGO Golf Environment Organisation to try and establish more transparency in the good management and maintenance practices of golf and improve upon these.

Opening and closing times

Every day throughout the year between 7 am and 7 pm. Closed on Tuesday. Opening hours can change depending on the month, the week, the weekend and the courses.
