Embark on an artistic and sensory journey in the footsteps of Claude Monet, through the iconic places that shaped Impressionism and left a lasting mark on the history of art.
In 2026, France will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Claude Monet’s passing with an exceptional cultural program. On this occasion, Normandy and Île-de-France — the birthplaces of Impressionism and true open-air museums with over 50 iconic sites — will invite visitors to rediscover the painter’s world through an immersive journey into the very landscapes that inspired him and gave rise to Impressionism.
From must-see museums and exclusive exhibitions to artists’ homes and scenic walks along the Seine or the Normandy coast, the brochure offers a ready-to-use itinerary designed for travel agencies and tour operators. An invitation to experience art… where it was born.
This centenary is also a unique opportunity to explore the world of painters who inspired Monet (such as Boudin and Daubigny), those who were his companions (Renoir, Sisley, Pissarro, Degas, Morisot, Caillebotte), and those who followed in his footsteps — from Van Gogh to contemporary artists.
