Located opposite the Cité des Sciences, this mirrored sphere measuring 36 m in diameter houses a 400-seat amphitheatre, angled at 27°, and a 1000 m² hemispherical screen. This unusual cinema is one of the 10 most popular cinemas in the world, and shows entertaining and informative films on subjects including adventure, science, nature and the human condition. These documentaries are projected in IMAX or high-definition 3D format accompanied by a unique spatialised sound system.
