Musée des Arts Décoratifs Unveils a New Experience Celebrating the Art of the French Table

The Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris has launched a new immersive experience designed to introduce visitors to the traditions and etiquette of the French art of dining through a guided tour and hands-on workshop.

With “Discover the Art of the French Table!”, the museum offers a new activity for visitors wishing to deepen their understanding of the French art de vivre.

This two-hour experience combines a 90-minute guided tour through the museum’s permanent collections, spanning from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, with a 30-minute practical workshop focused on the customs and etiquette of the French table.

Participants learn about the differences between French and English-style table service, the principles of elegant table setting, and the vocabulary and codes associated with dining etiquette, tableware and entertaining guests.

Designed for groups of up to 12 participants, the experience is offered at €405 per group and includes a souvenir booklet enabling guests to recreate the fundamentals of French table setting at home.
