The Château d’Ormesson will exceptionally open its doors to the public throughout summer 2026, marking a first for this historic estate, which has previously only welcomed visitors during the European Heritage Days.
The Château d’Ormesson (Val-de-Marne) will be open to visitors from July 27 to September 4, 2026, marking an unprecedented summer opening for this estate, which until now has only been accessible during the European Heritage Days.
Owned by the same family for nearly four centuries, this château, built at the end of the 16th century, is a remarkable example of the Paris Region’s private heritage and has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1889.
Visitors will be able to explore the estate’s riverside gardens, as well as the ground floor of the château, which retains its historic family furnishings and original decorative features. The visit also includes access to the family chapel located at the heart of the residence.
Located just outside Paris, the estate offers both self-guided and guided tours, making it an attractive addition to summer cultural and heritage programmes.
