This operation is jointly organised alongside the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau.
These events have been put back until November as a result of Covid 19 health and safety measures undertaken by the authorities in March.
Should the current situation deteriorate further in the autumn, we intend to offer a digital workshop on the same dates as an alternative.
With a total population of 46.6 million inhabitants and growth of +2% in 2019, Spanish visitors, the 3rd largest international clientele for the region, generated more than 6.5 million room nights and nearly €853 million in tourist revenue in 2019.
Portugal has a total population of 10.2 million and growth of +2.9% in 2019. This market generated 1.9 million room nights and nearly €195 million in tourist spend in 2019, putting them in 13th position (just behind Brazil and in front of Japan) in 2018.
These two countries also provide a gateway for the major markets across South and Central America, such as Brazil or Mexico, which enjoy tours across the whole of Europe. These markets, when combined with the Spanish and Portuguese markets, generated more than 16 million room nights in 2018 and in excess of €2 billion in tourist revenue.
