A homage to French gastronomy and Paris

By recalling the world of gastronomy, the attraction evokes one of the biggest tourist assets of Paris and its region, one of the main reasons that makes it the worlds favourite tourist destination.
Regular surveys led by the CRT among a sample of 30,000 visitors at airports and in train stations reveal that for 10.5% of them (2013), its the number one activity that motivates their choice of destination. Among European clientèle, the British (15.8%) followed by Germans (12.1%), Dutch (9.8%), Italians (8.2%) and Spanish (7.3%) are the most unreserved when it comes to gastronomic discovery.

It's an asset that is more essential than ever for the tourist economy of Paris Ile-de-France

Depuis sa création en 1992, Disneyland Paris, la première destination touristique d’Europe située au cœur de la région la plus visitée du monde, est devenu un moteur essentiel de l’activité touristique régionale et nationale.

In addition to the 55,000 or so direct and indirect jobs, and the €50 billion of value added that Disneyland Paris brings to the French economy, its also the direct involvement and knowledge of the talented people of Seine-et-Marne that has facilitated the development of Disneyland Paris attractions (out of 34 Paris-region businesses active on the site, 11 business are from Seine-et-Marne).
European journalists were welcomed to Paris to enjoy a dinner-cruise on board the Bateau le Diamant of the Compagnie des Bateaux Parisien, the magical décor of which even inspired the creators of Ratatouille.
