From 1923, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche became the first department store to dedicate a section to food: The Grocery Counter

The buyers for this gourmet grocer hunt down the beautiful and the tasteful in all four corners of the globe. Extremely demanding, they bring back only rare gastronomic treasures that have a history. Mineral water from Wales, home-made jams from France, tomatoe sauce from Naples...The shelves are lined with more than 5000 authentic and extravagant products.

In 1978, the store doubled in size and became La Grande Épicerie de Paris. Completely renovated in 2014, La Grande Épicerie de Paris offers a large selection of exclusive products from France and abroad, selected by its experts, and produce made by its artisans.La Grande Epicerie de Paris is a must-see gastronomic venue in Paris.

Opening and closing times

All year round between 8.30 am and 9 pm. Sunday between 10am and 8pm.
