Venice Revealed. Grand Palais Immersif

  • Exhibition

An unprecedented immersive dive into the City of the Doges. The inaugural exhibition of the Grand Palais Immersif, a new Parisian venue dedicated to the programming of immersive exhibitions.

This exhibition is co-produced by Grand Palais Immersif (a subsidiary of the Rmn - Grand Palais), and Iconem in collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.

The exhibition is structured around four chapters, combining historical chronology and a walk through the city's major sites:

  • The lagoon: birth of Venice in the meanders of a lagoon

In the first section, we witness the birth of a unique city, laid out like a stage on a forest of stilts in a lagoon dotted with 124 islands.

  • The Grand Canal: the golden age of Venice as a commercial and naval power.

  • St Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace: the embodiment of political, economic and religious power.

  • Venice, a city in transformation and still in the making: towards a new renaissance?

The missions of the Grand Palais Immersif are

  • the design and production of immersive digital exhibitions, in synergy with museums, audiovisual and multimedia producers, and start-ups specialising in digital technology;

  • their operation in Paris, in a renovated Grand Palais and, in the meantime, in dedicated spaces;

  • their marketing, both nationally in adapted formats and internationally.
