After the eventful exhibition devoted to Tutankhamun, which was seen by nearly 1.5 million visitors in 2019, the Grande Halle de la Villette is preparing to host a new exhibition on ancient Egypt.
After a tour of the United States, the travelling exhibition "Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs " will arrive in Europe and in Paris at the Grande Halle de La Villette on 6 April 2023.
It will showcase the magnificence of Egyptian goldsmithing through the presentation of an incredible collection of jewels and objects from Egyptian collections, notably from the Cairo Museum.
Royal masks, amulets, coins, statues and gold objects... more than 170 objects from the time of the Ramesside pharaohs** will be presented, including a ring from the 18th dynasty and a necklace from the era of Ramses VI.
The immersive devices will allow an unprecedented experience in the daily life in ancient Egypt, from the 19th dynasty to the 13th century BC.
