One exhibition - two locations!
Covid-19 information : a health pass or a test taken within the last 48 hours is required at the entrance.
Organised by the Musée National Picasso-Paris and the Rodin Museum, the exhibition offers an original encounter between two outstanding artists whose inventions and works have had a strong influence on modern art.
Held simultaneously in both institutions, it highlights unexpected convergences in the creative processes that mark the work of the two artists.
The Rodin Museum is committed to studying the plastic solutions invented by the two artists in order to depict reality.
The Picasso Museum presents the private sphere of creation in the studio laboratory. Visitors can thus walk in the footsteps of Picasso, who in 1900 discovered the "Rodin" retrospective at the Pavillon de l'Alma.
Bringing together all the fields of creation (painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic arts and photography), the tour presents the richness of artistic processes: from the assembly to the recovery of materials, from the relationship to the space of the public monument, from the look at the fragment to the taste for incompletion... Two emblematic places will be particularly highlighted: Rodin's workshop in Meudon and Picasso's workshop in Boisgeloup.
The exhibition is extended until 2 January 2022.
From 19/05/2021 to 02/01/2022 between 9.30 am and 6 pm. Closed on Monday. Opening times : From Tuesday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m,
