EXHIBITION POSTPONED TO SEPTEMBER 2021 - The Jacquemart-André museum devotes an exceptional exhibition to Botticelli (1445 - 1510), one of the most famous painters of the Italian Renaissance.
Botticelli is undoubtedly one of the best known painters of the Italian Renaissance, despite the mystery surrounding his life and the activity of his studio. He tirelessly alternated between single creations by his own hand and mass production completed by his many assistants.
The autumn 2021 exhibition will honour this workshop practice, a laboratory teeming with ideas and training, typical of the Italian Renaissance. The aim will be to rediscover Botticelli in his role as creator, but also as entrepreneur and trainer. Following a chronological and thematic order, the tour will illustrate Botticelli's personal stylistic development, the links between his work and the culture of his time, as well as the influence he himself exerted on his contemporaries.
From 10/09/2021 to 24/01/2022, daily between 10 am and 6 pm.
Adult: 14.50 €.
