Round-up of the World Travel Market in London, 3-6 November 2014
The WTM had a total of 82,213 visitors by Wednesday 5 November at 13:00, compared to 78,035 in the same period in 2013.
Once again this year, the destination Paris Region was well positioned on the French pavilion and set up an area in its own colours for its partners, who also benefit from all the promotional and advertising initiatives implemented for them by the Paris Region Tourist Board.
Twenty-two partners from the Paris region were represented on the Paris Region pavilion:
BATEAUX MOUCHES, BATEAUX PARISIENS, BIG BUS PARIS, CESAR PALACE PARISCITYVISION, COMITE DEPARTEMENTAL DU TOURISME DU VAL D’OISE, COMITE DEPARTEMENTAL DU TOURISME DE LA SEINE-SAINT-DENIS, DISNEYLAND® PARIS ; DREAM CASTLE & MAGIC CIRCUS HOTELS; GALERIES LAFAYETTE , HYATT REGENCY PARIS ETOILE, LES HOTELS DE PARIS, LE LIDO DE PARIS, MOULIN ROUGE, OFFICE DE TOURISME DE VERSAILLES, PHILHARMONIE DE PARIS, 4 ROUES SOUS UN PARAPLUIE, RING TOURS, GROUPE VISUAL TRANSDEV, VEDETTES DE PARIS, VOYAGES SERVICES PLUS, VOYAGES-SNCF
The WTM was also the perfect opportunity to launch the new Professional Guide to the Paris Region Destination 2015-2016, which was distributed to many of the professionals in attendance.
Marketing campaigns aimed at boosting appointments for these 22 partners were organised before and during the fair:
- An e-newsletter aimed at professionals was sent out to ETOA contacts, informing them that the Paris Region Tourist Board and its 22 partners from the Paris region would be attending the WTM.
- A networking cocktail reception was held on the first day of the WTM: cocktails at 6.30 pm with boat transfer from ExCel (the event space where the WTM is held) to central London. More than 70 tour operators joined professionals from the Paris region and overseas at this networking event.
