The Paris Ile-de-France Region Tourism Board established a partnership with La Vallée Village, with 2 actions aimed at the China and South Korea markets with the hope of reinvigorating the destination Paris Ile-de-France for the end of 2016.

La Vallée Village, situated in the heart of Seine-et-Marne, provides a peaceful and open-air setting that is home to 120 prestigious brands that sell at reduced rates all throughout the year. More than 170 nationalities are represented here and, among them, the Chinese and Korean clientele are first and second respectively.

La Vallée Village is one of 9 Villages located across Europe, with a total of 11 Villages worldwide, including 2 based in China.

This partnership takes the form of 2 strong actions that target group leisure and FIT clients:

  • From 18th to 19th October, an operation for the Chinese market that involved a programme of discovery for the destination followed by a workshop with pre-planned meetings and a gala dinner that brought together 22 important travel agencies/ OTA from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

This exceptional programme of discovery in Paris featured visits to the Tomb of Napoleon at the Hôtel National des Invalides (visited by Mr Li Jinzao, Tourism Minister, last August), the brand new  Fragonard perfume museum and taking the elevator to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, operated by Centre des Monuments Nationaux.

  • On 15th November, the operation targeting the Korean market gathered 11 Group/ FIT travel agencies and included an exceptional programme of discovery in Paris on the theme of Impressionism in particular:  the Musée d’Orsay, a guided visit with 4 roues sous 1 parapluie,   the Arc de Triomphe operated by Centre des Monuments Nationaux and an evening at the Moulin Rouge.
