La Cour des Senteurs brings together in one place the rarest fragrances, traditions, expertise and raw materials that make up the universe of perfumes. Located at 100m from the main entrance of the Palace of Versailles, this freely accessible site has an original concept designed as a fragrant walk to discover the adventure of the greatest perfumers through the Maison des Parfums, a space for interpreting perfume, a plant section illustrating by way of a cabinet of curiosities the mythical materials of perfumes, the garden of fragrances composed of rare natural essences contained in perfumes worldwide. The place des senteurs, at the heart of the Court, hosts big names in luxury:
- Lenôtre proposes a new restaurant and shop concept, based on the flavour/perfume complementarity offering a both fragrant and gastronomic experience.
- The Maison Fabre, the famous luxury glove maker, has produced its creations inspired from the tradition of perfumer glove makers.
- Unprecedented, Toile de Jouy presents the creations of objects and accessories in Toile de Jouy- The Atelier Saveurs is the delicatessen of Versailles which focuses on tableware and décor. Many tasting workshops are waiting for you.
In order to prolong this sophisticated wandering, the Cour des Senteurs, which was also conceived as an original urban crossing, offers the possibility of directly accessing the Salle du Jeu de Paume, the cradle of the first founding act of democracy, with the atypical streets of the Saint-Louis quarter, the oldest of Versailles, the Potager du roi and its thousands of fruit trees which embellished walks and the tables of the king.
This new magical place allows you to have, before or after the visit to the Castle, an exceptional historical, poetic and sensory experience, combining unprecedented cultural and natural discoveries in the heart of the royal city.
