Furniture, tapestries, woodwork, paintings and many collections of period objects make the Château de Malmaison a precious gem from the First Empire.

Temporary exhibitions and events are regularly organised. In spring 2014, an exhibition about Joséphine’s passion for botany will accompany the re-opening of the old rose garden.
From 2nd October 2014 to 30th January 2015, the exhibition will be followed by another entitled Joséphine, de la mort au tombeau (Joséphine: from death to tombstone).
